Refund policy

At Dappled Light, we want you to love your purchase. If something isn’t right, our Return and Refund Policy makes it easy to return or exchange your items. Please read the details below to understand the process.

1. Return Eligibility 
Returns are accepted within 15 days from the date of delivery. Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and returned in their original packaging with all tags and accessories intact. Custom-made, personalized, or specially ordered items are non-returnable unless defective or damaged.

2. Non-Returnable Items 
Products marked as “Final Sale” on the product page. Free gifts or promotional items included with your order. Undergarments, swimwear, or other hygiene-related products (unless defective, damaged, or incorrect). 

3. How to Return an Item
Step 1: Contact us within 15 days of delivery at contact@dappledlight.com with your order number and reason for return (e.g., size issue, defect, etc.).
Step 2: We’ll review your request and provide a return authorization along with shipping instructions within 2 business days.
Step 3: Pack the item securely (preferably in its original packaging) and ship it back to us within 7 days of receiving authorization.
Note: Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the return is due to our error (e.g., defective or incorrect item).

4. Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your returned item (typically within 5-7 business days), we’ll notify you via email about the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping charges and return shipping costs (if applicable) are non-refundable. Refunds may take additional time to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

5. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, notify us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@dappledlight.com with photos of the issue. We’ll arrange a free return (including shipping costs) and offer a replacement or full refund, based on your preference and product availability. If a replacement isn’t available, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method. 

6. Order Cancellation
You may cancel your order before it ships by contacting us at contact@dappledlight.com or +91 92205 30030. If the order has already shipped, please follow the standard return process after delivery. Refunds for canceled orders will be processed within 10 business days to the original payment method.

7. Refund Exceptions
Refunds will not be issued for items returned after the 15-day window or those not meeting the eligibility criteria. Cash-on-delivery (COD) orders, if returned, may be refunded via bank transfer or store credit, at our discretion.

8. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for a different size, color, or product (subject to availability) instead of a refund, if requested. To request an exchange, follow the same return process and specify your preference in the email. Additional shipping charges (if any) for exchanges will be communicated during the process.
